William Penn was born late in the year of 1644. Being the son of a father that was an admiral and a mother that was a daughter of a merchant, failure was not an option. William Penn went to several different schools for his education starting at Chigwell, and then soon enrolled in the University of Oxford. Penn ended up getting kicked out of school and in result he was sent to France for more academic studies. When he returned to England he studied law. As a final outcome William Penn turned out to be extremely well known. Although, he was not easily influenced by others, different things Penn had done was become a journalist, minister, missionary and lawyer. In addition to Penn's achievements in 1670 history had been made. William Penn had been asked to settle an argument and finally was made proprietor and governor of the new colony, called Pennsylvania.

William Penn came out with a famous quote which goes: “Justice is the insurance which we have on our lives and property. Obedience is the premium which we pay for.” I believe when Penn wrote this he was meaning to say our lives and property are protected underneath the justice system but we are expected to obey the laws of the justice system as well. If you do not obey the law then you will not get the certain privileges compared to others that did obey. I believe the truth of this quote in the life of William Penn is all the achievements he got was because it was all fair. He stuck to what he believed in but he also stayed trued to the justice system. While reading this quote, I immediately thought of my mother. My mother does everything the way it should be done without any question that it was done fairly. She receives tremendous amounts of credit and she's recognized and look up to at her workplace and also at home.
