Henry Ford was born in Greenfield Township, Michigan in 1863 was the first surviving son of William and Mary Ford. Many of us may recognize his name simply because Henry Ford revolutionized transportation in America. At 16 Ford left farm work at home to go to Detroit where he found his apprentice work as a machinist. While working as a machinist Ford will learn how to skillfully operate and service steam engines, but will also study bookkeeping. Henry Ford came out to be such a significant person because in 1908 he created the Ford Model T car. Following that accomplishment, Ford went on to develop the assembly line. As a result FORD sold millions of automobiles and ended up being a world-famous company.

Everyone has something that they're not very confident in doing, or don't even try to do. Henry Ford's famous quote “Whether you think you can, or think you can't, either way you are right,” means that if you believe you can do something, you can. If you believe you cannot do something you won't be able to. If you don't have confidence in yourself you won't be able to achieve whatever you're trying to do. Henry Ford collaborated with Samuel Crow releasing an autobiography called My Life & My Work. In the introduction Ford outlined four principles and this was one of the first ones, just worded a little differently. Henry Ford lived by these principles, he always had confidence in himself and that's why he became so successful.

Early in High School I was a very troubled child. I got suspended for an incident that happened and in consequence I wasn't able to get my green card to qualify to get my drivers license. When I came back to school I had no motivation or confidence to have anything to with driving, because I didn't believe in myself. A couple of months ago I realized I can't keep living like a child and rely on everyone else for rides to class, work, etc. So I studied for weeks straight and got my learner's permit on my own. Now I'm just waiting until June so I can get my licenses, I could've got it earlier if I didn't lose confidence in myself
